Mr Holly's Anti Gravity Box

The Anti-Gravity Box is a self-contained installation housed within a half-size shipping container that allows small groups of people and families to have fun creating crazy photos where they appear to be defying gravity!

The concept is actually extremely simple, but incredibly effective.
Inside the Box is a room that appears to be on its side (so the ‘floor’ is on the left-hand wall, the ‘ceiling’ is on the right-hand side and the ‘walls’ are actually the real floor and ceiling). A camera, also on its side, is fixed to a screen which is the right way round, which gives the impression that as people walk in, they are walking on the walls.

The potential for creative fun is huge and the activity has proved to be enormously popular with children and family groups. It is also
surprisingly popular with adults and older people too and is also accessible for those with physical & learning disabilities including those in wheelchairs.

Participants are asked to take their shoes off to protect the ‘walls’ of the room and typically spend 2 to 10 minutes inside (depending on whether there is a queue) and are then able to take photos of
themselves.

The Anti-Gravity Box is 20 feet long, 8 feet wide and 8 feet high. It arrives on the back of a truck with a built-in crane to place it into position. All it then needs is to be plugged into a standard 13A electricity supply and it is ready to go.

The Box is manned by two Graviteers who engage participants and advise on the best positions to get the best photos.
