A fun, physics-fuelled street installation, that celebrates
Lincolnshire Legend, Isaac Newton

 

The Newton-o-Matic is a charming and silly street engagement piece that is also a little bit educational… ideal for families, children,
teenagers, adults and older people too!

• The Newton-o-Matic typically entertains people for between
5 and 30 minutes and comes with either two or three
Newtoneers who are experienced at engaging the public.

• The Newton-o-Matic can be placed in town centres, venues,
parks and heritage sites and also works well at illumination
events – in fact anywhere that people are not especially in a
hurry.

Created in August 2025 by the street performer and contraption
inventor Matt Pang as a commission from Threshold Studios, as
part of the Be Lincoln Town Deal project, the Newton-o-Matic was
the idea of Mr Holly, a Creative Producer from Lincolnshire who
owns and manages the Newton-o-Matic (as well as the Anti
Gravity Box) who is passionate about making people smile!

• The Newton-o-Matic was created to help draw attention
to the 300th anniversary of the death of Sir Isaac Newton in 2027
